Recently, the national“Science-Technology Support Plan” project, “High-Efficiency Conversion of Inferiorand Heavy Crudes”, led by RIPP has passed the technical acceptance check heldby Ministry of Science and Technology. At the meeting, all experts agreed that inthis project, all the research targets have been achieved to meetthe evaluation requirements; the overall techniques have been up to the advancedinternational level; and economic and social benefits are very high.

This project,co-organized by Sinopec and CNPC, is one of state support projects of the TwelfthFive-Year Plan. The catalysts and processes developed in this project have beenwidely used in refineries. Till now, 3 pilot plant lines, 3 catalyst productionand testing bases and demonstration production lines and 18 industrialization demonstrationplants have been established. And the National Five vehicle gasoline and dieselstandard based on the research results of this project has been issued andimplemented.
