A 200 kt/a cyclohexanol production unit applying Sinopec’s novel process based on cyclohexene esterification hydrogenation has been successfully started up in Hunan Province recently for the first time in the world.

This technology, initiated by RIPP, has witnessed 13 years of joint effort from numbers of subsidiaries of Sinopec, and now has 40 granted patents in China and 3 overseas with Sinopec’s independent intellectual property rights. 

RIPP has provided full range technical support on site from the very beginning of the project, guaranteeing the successful start-up of the unit.
